When Whistler Blackcomb asked us to focus their 2009 media kit on the new PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, we knew right away we’d have to deliver something as daring and impactful as the gondola itself. Our staff threw themselves into researching and sourcing new materials for the piece, to develop a media kit that not only looked amazing but felt as unique as the work our art director Janalee Budge and photographic partner Dano Pendygrasse put into it. It turns out all the effort was worth it – Applied Arts Magazine, Canada’s visual arts magazine, gave the piece an award for its printing quality recently. They had this to say about it:
With the launch of the Peak2Peak gondola at Whistler Blackcomb, this storybook was produced to celebrate the vision and accomplishment of the much anticipated project. Uncoated stock and a velvet-feel aqueous coating on the cover and inserts imparts an seductive, organic tactility to the book.
Working with our partner 3S Printers was key in achieving the result and we thank them for this and for all incredible work they produce for us on a regular basis.
