Over 17 days at the Games, the Salomon Freeski Lounge serves up millions of impressions.
Salomon brings freeskiing to Whistler 2010! To bring the brand to life during the 17-day event in Whistler, Salomon transformed part of its Whistler store into The Freeski Lounge. Located in the Pan Pacific hotel, the lounge serves as a place for VIPs and media to gather and meet Salomon’s athletes, pick up equipment and discover next year’s key products. More than a lounge, the space serves as testimony to Salomon’s rich history and dedication to freeskiing. The lounge is open to the general public and offers free wireless access, live showing of the Games as well as food and beverages.
With a history of celebrating as rich as its freeski heritage, Salomon solidified its famous party reputation this past Sunday with a grand opening party.The Salomon Lounge played host to professional athletes including Mike Douglas, Antoine Deneriaz, Guenther Mader and body-painted models in the classic Whistler tradition. Kokanee beer flowed liberally and the festive Olympic atmosphere kept the air electric. Hundreds of freeski fans appeared to be enjoying themselves, with the party lasting longer than scheduled and stretching late into the night.

Salomon célèbre le freeski à sa façon aux Jeux de Whistler 2010! Pour donner une belle visibilité à sa marque durant les 17 jours de l’événement, Salomon a transformé une partie de sa boutique de Whistler, devenue pour l’occasion le Freeski Lounge. Situé dans l’hôtel Pan Pacific, le salon sert d’accueil pour les VIP et les médias qui peuvent y rencontrer les athlètes Salomon, faire l’essai d’équipement et découvrir quels seront les prochains produits vedette. Bien plus qu’un salon, cet espace se veut un hommage à la riche histoire et à l’implication de Salomon en freeski. Le salon est ouvert au grand public et offre l’accès Internet sans fil, la retransmission en direct des Jeux ainsi qu’à manger et à boire.
Fidèle à sa réputation de savoir s’amuser (au moins aussi enviable que son riche héritage en freeski), Salomon a organisé une grande fête d’ouverture dimanche dernier. Le Salon Salomon a vu défiler plusieurs athlètes professionnels incluant Mike Douglas, Antoine Dénériaz, Guenther Mader ainsi que des mannequins de body-painting dans la plus pure tradition de Whistler. La bière Kokanee a coulé à flots et la festive ambiance olympique est littéralement devenue électrique. Des centaines d’amateurs de freeski ont fait la fête, prolongeant les festivités tard dans la nuit, au grand plaisir de tous.
