The Jay Peak Moment{Us} Campaign, launched just a few days ago.
The campaign aims to show how Jay Peak is the kind of place where seemingly little moments – the kind you capture on your iPhone – are sometimes the most profound. And that Jay is more than a mountain, more than an ice rink, more than a water park – it’s about the people, the guests and the employees who share a true connection to the place. Who get it.
It was a big idea that was about acknowledging the small, the micro moments, the little things. That’s why we were so stoked to read Slopefiller’s post this week about the spot. Because when Gregg Blanchard, who has some of the keenest insights in ski resort marketing, says:
I don’t know if it was scripted or if it was a compilation of guest-submitted footy but I don’t really care because it feels real. It’s a guy wiping out on the wave machine, it’s a little girl squealing as she rides a water slide, it’s a friend distracted by the tram, it’s a cape-wearing kid shrieking with delight, it’s holing bunker shots and holding a toddler on the deck.
It’s my new favorite marketing video of the year.
…we call it a home-run.
Thanks Gregg. And thanks to the friends of Jay Peak for sharing their moments.
