Politics aside, art found a new place last year in social commentary and inspired many artists such as Mr. Brainwash, Shepard Fairey, Paula Scher and Annie Leibovitz. These artists and others will be showing at the upcoming CAN & DID Exhibition opening in New York on Inauguration Day, Jan 20th ‘09. Whether commissioned or not, Obama evoked more Art appreciation in politics than any other recent campaigns.
